A friend of mine gave me a 32GB SD card that came out of a digital camera. They were hoping to use the photos that were on it to make some christmas cards this year. She said she was trying to upload photos from the card, that it was acting very slow and gave up. Pulled the card from the PC and later when she tried again it said it couldn't recognize the file system and said she should format the card. I took the card and put it through Photorec, CardRecovery, Runtime GetDataBack for FAT and NTFS and all 4 didn't detect a single file start point or any data left on the card. I've done data recovery on hard drives several times and there's always something left behind, but this is the first time I've ever messed with a flash drive and I'm wondering if I should be expecting anything different when trying to find data that might be left or if there is some better software out there I could try.
