Need Help, Computer Can't See Printer

Hi Everyone:

I have run up against a problem and am out of ideas to fix it. I just moved and signed up for Comcast internet. When I plugged their router into my desktop computer everything went find and the Comcast router assigned the label of "Network 2" to my network.

I have a laptop that I used wirelessly through out my house and it too is working fine but my wireless router uses the name of "David49" for its name.

I am trying to get the printer that I have attached via a USB cable to my desktop computer to work with my laptop and am hitting a wall. Every time I try to add the printer to my laptop the laptop can't find the printer to add it and when I try to add it manually I get messages saying that the "printer can't be found, check your printer name" and messages to that effect.

Both computers are running Windows 7 and I can't help but feel that the difference in the router names is causing the problem but I am not sure if this is the case and how to fix it. I am wondering if I renamed one of the networks if that would fix the problem but I don't know how to rename a network.

Anyone run across this? How did you fix it? Thanks all.
