I've been getting the warning:
Sec Slave Hard Disk: S.M.A.R.T Status Bad, Backup and Replace
press f1 to continue
each time I boot up my PC, and a quick google search determines that my hard disk is about to die. I have absolutely no knowledge of hardware, and don't know what I need. I have an Advent Firefly FP3104 Desktop/PC which is just under 3 years old. I don't have a lot of cash and I have never done anything to the hardware of a PC - can anyone tell me what type of hard disk I need to buy and if I am capable of fitting it myself? I.e. I have no idea what is compatible or if all hard disks are the same?
