I recently came by a pair of what I now know to be very decent speakers.
They are part of this unit:

Only the speakers, however.
They are bi-wired, with both wirings rated at 140W @ 6 ohm.
Now I also have a decent system already.

They are only 15W, mono-wired, and 8 ohm.. I'm quite happy with it already but now that I have these much larger speakers I'd like to know if I'd get any benefit from plugging them into this unit.
From what I've read, the Bi-wiring is a joke. Will merging the two '+' and the two '-' cables together cause any harm? (they already are on the unit, can undo if recommended)
Next, do I have any real cause for concern with my output being 8ohm and speakers being much higher wattage @ only 6 ohm?
Finally, would it help at all anyway? There doesn't seem to be a market for amplifier units like this. I'm either dumb or there aren't replacement units or anything that could take it's place?
