Hi, Hoping Someone here can help me...I was given a Dynics mini pc with an integrated touchscreen. There is no harddrive, it runs windows XP sp3 embedded installed on a 1gb compact flash card. The Windows installation seems stripped down (options missing in the control panel etc.) My problem is that I want to install frontend software (probably xlobby) and use the computer as a touchscreen jukebox but all my music is stored on a thumbdrive and the computer asks to install drivers when I plug in anything into a usb port. All my devices plug and play without drivers in all my other windows XP computers.
I found a website with BIOs drivers for my motherboard (Axiomtek mini-itx SBC89807) but I am worried they may mess up my computer. Is it possible to remove the new driver(s) if they cause problems on my pc?
I went through all of the BIOS settings but can't find anything that makes my USB ports work. What am I missing here? Are the drivers the way to go?? I'm out of ideas!!
