Drive NTFS but won't accept files over 4 GB

I have a 2 TB WD My passport portable external hard drive that I purchased because my 1.5 TB was acting up. I want to transfer the contents of my 1.5 over to the 2, then format/wipe the 1.5 and use it as a backup to my 2TB.

Here's my problem, the 2 TD will not accept a file transfer over 3.99 GB. The drive is ALREADY formatted to NTFS. For the life of me I cannot figure out why it will not take the files. Tried 2 different computers one win 7 other vista. Neither works. Drive came NTFS but I did a quick format any way to ensure it was. Then tried a command prompt convert to NTFS and cmd stated drive was already NTFS.

Started new thread as I did not see this specific issue in a different thread.
