Can I Install a printer with a different power cord?

I have 2 printers, both HP. HP J4580, which I am 'uninstalling', and an HP C7280 which I am 'installing'. My question is: Can I use the 4580 power cord for the 7280 or must I use the cord that came with the 7280??? :confused: Thanks for any help
