Hi, I recently bought the Sabrent Video/S-Video/RCA to VGA Converter on Amazon because I wanted to hook my laptop to my old TV. Once I received it, however, the instructions show that you the S-Video and RCA cables are meant to be plugged into a CCTV camera or DVD player (which I don't want to connect) which connects to the Converter, one VGA goes from laptop to converter, and another VGA goes from converter to TV.
My TV is old and only has S-Video and RCA cables and I can't get it to work in the way that I want it to, and I'm not sure that it can, according to the directions. I only want to hook my laptop to the converter, then plug the converter into my old TV using S-Video/RCA cables. Did I get the wrong converter? I do not have a VGA port in my TV, so I can't follow the directions. And I only received one VGA cable in the box anyway.
Details:
Old Sony tv
Brand new Lenovo windows computer
Sabrent Video/S-Video/RCA to VGA Converter
I'm really frustrated and would appreciate any help with the matter. Thank you!!!!
