Toshiba Satellite Touch Pad & Left Click

Turned my laptop on after being on holiday for 2 weeks was working fine then all of a sudden left click stopped working and double tap on the touch pad stopped working i can move the mouse with the touch pad and i can use right click but double tap and left click will just not work.

Tried system restore 3 times without victory, i then backed everything up and formatted my laptop also restoring the bios to default settings just incase something decided to change on its own.

Ive uninstalled and re installed the touch pad drivers with no victory also so now i am absolutly baffled on to why these few features arnt working so im presuming something is stopping them because if the touch pad was broken i would presume the right click and touch pad would stop completly also.
